HOUSTON â€" For the second straight day and fourth time this postseason, Houston Baseball freshman Joe Davis was named a Freshman All-American as Perfect Game recognized him on the organization's First Team, announced Tuesday.
A day after Davis became the first Cougar freshman position player in the history of the program to be named to Baseball America's First Team and the second Cougar in back-to-back seasons to earn a nod as LHP Seth Romero was a First Team selection a year ago, the Austin, Texas native earned his fourth Freshman All-America honor following his impressive rookie campaign.
Only 16 players were named to Perfect Game's First Team with Davis being honored at first base.
