HOUSTON â€" Houston Baseball will continue play with two midweek games this week, beginning with a trip to Rice on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch. The Cougars will then return home to host Louisiana at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park.
Houston is coming off a 3-2 week, which was highlighted by an American Athletic Conference series win over Memphis at home to move to 27-19 overall and 8-9 in league play.

Following the two midweek games, Houston will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats for three games in American Athletic Conference play.
HITS ON HOUSTON
Houston will play its first of three final midweek games of the season when it takes on Rice for the second game of the Silver Glove Series on Tuesday.
Heading into the week, the Cougars are riding two wins and a series victory over Memphis.
Offensively, Houston is hitting .268 and slugging .370 with 59 doubles, 11 triples and 25 home runs. Leading the way at the plate is freshman Joe Davis, hitting .341 with a team-best 63 hits, 40 RBI, 14 doubles and nine home runs. His nine home runs tied the Houston freshman all-time record set back in 1986 by Mike Musolino.
Following Davis at the plate is sophomore Corey Julks with a .309 average and sophomore Connor Wong with a .303 average and team-high 37 runs scored from the leadoff spot.
On the base paths, Houston is 52-of-63, led by sophomore Zac Taylor with 18-of-20.
Houston's pitching staff continues to rank among the nation's Top 10 in several categories, posting a 2.55 ERA with 369 strikeouts to 86 walks in 402.0 innings pitched this season. Opponents are hitting .222 against the Cougars.
Freshman Mitch Ullom paces the starters in wins with a 6-2 record, and with a 2.25 ERA in 11 appearances and nine starts in his first collegiate season. He is coming off his second career complete game victory with a win over Memphis on Sunday.
Junior Andrew Lantrip follows with a 2.45 ERA and a 5-5 record in 12 starts. He has fanned 76 and walked just five to rank among the nation's leader in strikeout-to-walk ratio in a staff-leading 80.2 innings pitched.
Sophomore Seth Romero has 84 strikeouts in 70.2 innings and is 4-4 with 2.55 ERA in 11 appearances and 10 starts.
Freshman Trey Cumbie has made the last two Tuesday starts and is 2-2 with a 1.87 ERA in 11 appearances and two starts.
Out of the bullpen, Houston goes to junior Nick Hernandez, who is 2-0 with seven saves and a 1.46 ERA in a team-high 21 appearances. He has struck out 46 in 37.0 innings and is holding opponents to a .171 average.
ABOUT RICE
Rice will enter the week with a 31-14 overall record and is coming off a series C-USA sweep of Florida International and is riding a five-game win streak into Tuesday's game.
Rice is hitting .268 as a team and slugging .350 with 55 doubles, 12 triples and 12 home runs. The Owls are 28-of-49 on the base paths and are fielding .975 with 43 errors.
Offensively, Tristan Gray paces the club with a .349 average. He is followed by Charlie Warren's .343 clip.
The pitching staff owns a 2.57 ERA with five shutouts and three complete games on the year. The Owls have fanned 382 hitters, while walking 140 â€" holding opponents to a .219 average.
For the starters, Jon Duplantier leads the staff with a 2.20 ERA and a 6-4 record in 12 starts. He has fanned 107 in 86.0 innings. Following him is Blake Fox with a 2.48 ERA and a 4-6 record in 12 starts.
Willy Amador made the start against Houston in Game 1 earlier this season and he is currently 2-0 with a 3.99 ERA in 11 appearances and six starts.
Out of the bullpen, Rice will go to Glenn Otto, who is 6-1 with a 1.28 ERA and eight saves through 24 appearances. He has fanned 56 in 49.1 innings.
SERIES HISTORY vs. RICE
Houston and Rice will meet for the 180th time in program history â€" the longest standing series in program history - and the second of three scheduled games this season.
The series between Houston and Rice dates back to 1948 and the Silver Glove Series officially began in 1998. The Owls own the all-time series, 103-76, but Houston has won the last two season series.
Rice earned the win in Game 1 this season, winning 7-4 at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. Connor Wong, Michael Pyeatt, Joe Davis and Justin Montemayor each had a two-hit game for the Cougars.
The two teams met four times last season with Houston winning two and Rice winning two, but the Cougars won the Silver Glove Series regular-season in a 2-1 advantage. The last meeting came in a 20-inning outing in the Houston Regional where the Owls prevailed, 3-2 on May 31 over the Cougars.
Following Tuesday's game, Houston and Rice will meet one more time this season … in Sugar Land, Texas at Constellation Field on Tuesday, May 17 â€" 6:30 p.m.
ABOUT LOUISIANA
Louisiana will meet Houston on Wednesday with a 31-17 overall record. The Ragin' Cajuns will not play Tuesday and are coming off a Sun Belt Conference series win at home over Appalachian State.
Louisiana is hitting .269 and slugging .399 with 89 doubles, eight triples and 33 home runs. The Ragin' Cajuns are 43-of-69 on the base paths and are fielding .975 with 47 errors.
Leading the way offensively is Kyle Clement with a .372 average, while Alex Pinero is hitting .326 and Brian Mills is hitting .303 and a team-high 33 RBI.
The pitching staff owns a 3.31 ERA and has five shutouts this season. The Ragin' Cajuns have fanned 386 and walked 114 in 422.0 innings â€" holding opponents to a .230 average.
Gunner Leger paces the pitching with a 2.44 ERA and a 6-3 record in 12 starts. Nick Lee is 6-1 with a 3.02 ERA in 12 starts. Wyatt Marks is 3-6 with a 4.94 ERA in 12 starts and Evan Guillory is 4-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 11 appearances and 10 starts.
Out of the bullpen, Louisiana will look to Dylan Moore, who is 5-1 with 11 saves and a 0.50 ERA, in in a team-high20 appearances.
SERIES HISTORY vs. LOUISIANA
Houston and Louisiana have met 52 previous times, dating back to 1948 when the series began.
The Cougars own the all-time series, 37-14-1, but have dropped the last two meetings to the Ragin' Cajuns â€" last coming in a 2-1 heartbreaker in the NCAA Houston Regional last season at home.

To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Stadium Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m., to 5:30 p.m.
Houston Baseball will offer variable pricing on its single-game tickets and group rates.

As noted in the table above, variable pricing occurs. For weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) games, prices range from $5-$7 depending on the choice of seating.
Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) online pricing will range from $6-$8 per game.
GROUP RATES
Group rates are also available (as noted in the table). Weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) and Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) pricing occurs. Groups of 10-24 are set at $4-$5 per person, while groups of 25+ are $3-$4 per person.
All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season baseball home games with a valid student ID.
