• Freshman RF Elise LeBeouf hit her first collegiate triple vs. Lamar and belted her fifth home run at USF.
• Senior centerfielder Katie St. Pierre extended her reached base streak to 35 games this season and 36 straight dating back to last season. She was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll for the second straight week and third time this season for her outstanding week at Lamar and No. 23/24 USF.
SPEEDY ST. PIERRE |
• St. Pierre recorded four stolen bases in two of the five games played last weekend. She now has 15 stolen bases so far this season in 19 attempts.
• With her 60 career stolen bases, St. Pierre is just one shy of tying the school record set by All-American Jessica Valis who had 61 from 2006-09.
• St. Pierre also ranks in the top five in school history for career walks (100), runs scored (152), hits (225) and hit by pitch (22).
• St. Pierre has focused on her on-base percentage this season. She has reached base in all 35 games this season and has a .538 OB% that ranks second in conference and 26th in the nation.
TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM... OR 50 |
• A pitch has hit the Cougars 49 times this season. That is good for the fifth most in school history by a Cougar team.
• Sophomore Kaylin Crumpton was hit twice last week and leads the team with 15 followed by teammate Courtney Klingler who has been pegged 12 times.
• Crumpton ranks third in school history for career hit by pitches (35) and sits sixth nationally for most HBP per game (0.43).
