Houston Football Spring Practice #9

The #HTownTakeover hit the fourth week of spring practice Tuesday with a full head of steam under a bright blue sky in the shadow of the downtown Houston skyline.
Tuesday marked a first this spring as the offense wrestled away control of the Circle Drill Championship belt with a 4-1 win, its first win of the spring over the defense. Tight end Alex Leslie, running back Josh Burrell, tight end Romello Brooker and offensive lineman Ryan Deshotel each picked up wins for the offense while safety Michael Eke claimed the defense's lone win. Following the win, head coach Tom Herman called a bonus circle drill with quarterbacks Bowman Sells and Kyle Allen facing off.

Spring Practice Notes:
Tight end Tyler McCloskey and defensive lineman Nick Thurman received Coach Tom Herman's Dudes of the Day award for last Friday's practice ... Running back Duke Catalon was named Houston's Spring Breakout performer by ESPN's Sam Khan Jr. ... Houston returns to practice Thursday afternoon, the second of three practices scheduled for the fourth week of spring football ... Houston will hold its Student Appreciation Practice Friday afternoon. Full details can be found here.
