HOUSTON -- Houston Softball returns to Cougar Softball Stadium tomorrow to host No. 18/19 Baylor for the 10th Annual Striking Out Breast Cancer game.
The Cougars (18-21) will host Baylor (32-10) for a midweek doubleheader. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
Both games will be streamed on Houston All-Access.

STRIKING OUT BREAST CANCER |
• This year marks the 10th year hosting the event.
• The Cougars raised $7,921 in support last season. The program was recognized by the NFCA as one of the Top Fundraisers for StrikeOut Cancer, raising the fifth most in the nation.
• Last year, 1,501 fans came out in support of this great event. The Cougars fell 13-12 to No. 25 Texas.
HITS ON HOUSTON |
• Freshman Brooke Vannoy had an outstanding weekend as she went 5-for-9 with three home runs including two at home vs. McNeese State to dead centerfield. She was named to her first American Athletic Conference weekly Honor Roll.
• Junior Shelby Miller also had a great week as she batted .500 as the designated player. Miller pitched 4.2 innings in relief and allowed three earned runs while striking out two.
• Senior Katie St. Pierre hit two singles, a double and walked twice to extend her reached base streak to 40 games dating back to last season.
SPEEDY ST. PIERRE |
• St. Pierre has recorded 15 stolen bases in 19 attempts so far this season.
• With her 60 career stolen bases, St. Pierre is just one shy of tying the school record set by All-American Jessica Valis who had 61 from 2006-09.
• St. Pierre also ranks in the top five in school history for career walks (100), runs scored (153), hits (228) and hit by pitch (22).
• St. Pierre has focused on her on-base percentage this season. She has reached base in all 39 games this season and has a .521 OB% that ranks second in conference and 38th in the nation.
TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM... OR 50 |
• A pitch has hit the Cougars 52 times this season. That is good for the fourth most in school history by a Cougar team, just five shy of tying the 2015 season total (57) for third in school history.
• Sophomore Kaylin Crumpton was hit twice at USF and leads the team with 15 followed by teammate Courtney Klingler who has been pegged 12 times. Crumpton leads the league in hit by pitches this season and sits 12th nationally for most HBP per game (0.38). Klingler is second behind Crumpton in the conference with (0.35) and ranks 20th in the nation.
• With 35 career hit by pitches, Crumpton ranks third in school history and is in the top 15 nationally on the Active Career Leaders list.

• Baylor comes to Houston after losing three straight to No. 12 Oklahoma at home. The Bears are 7-8 when playing at Cougar Softball Stadium.
