HOUSTON â€" Houston Softball continues non-conference play this weekend as the Cougars host Lipscomb for a three game series at Cougar Softball Stadium.
The Cougars (9-10) are set to face the Bisons (11-9) on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. The series concludes on Sunday at noon.

HITS ON HOUSTON |
• Houston's midweek game against McNeese State was rescheduled due to heavy rain in the Lake Charles, La., area.
• The Cougars picked up a win over Texas Southern on Saturday to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to Incarnate Word.
• Senior centerfielder Katie St. Pierre had a great weekend as she went 5-for-8, hitting .625 and slugging 1.000. St. Pierre also posted an on-base percentage of .750 with her five hits and four walks.
• She has reached base in all 19 games this season, and 20 straight games dating back to last season.
SPEEDY ST. PIERRE |
• St. Pierre has seven stolen bases so far this season in nine attempts.
• She ranks second in school history for the most career stolen bases (52), just behind All-American Jessica Valis who had 61 from 2006-09.
• St. Pierre also ranks in the top five in school history for career walks (90) and runs scored (142).
• St. Pierre has focused on her On-Base percentage this season. She has reached base in all 19 games this season and has a .529 OB% that ranks first in conference and 87th in the nation.
TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM... OR 20 |
• After only 19 games, a pitch has hit the Cougars 23 times this season. That is good for the ninth most in school history by a Cougar team.
• Sophomore Kaylin Crumpton leads the team with seven followed by teammate Courtney Klingler who has been pegged four times.

• Head Coach: Kristin Ryman (Lipscomb, 2003) | 10th Season | Career: 340-228-1
• Letterwinners returning/lost: 11-6
• Lipscomb hasn't played an away game this season and recently split a doubleheader with Louisville in
Nashville, Tenn.
• HOUSTON CONNECTION: The Bisons have one player, starting first baseman Caitlin Plocheck, from the Houston area.
