HOUSTON â€" No. 15 Houston Baseball will wrap up its March nine-game home stand with a Top 15 matchup against No. 1 Texas A&M on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park.
The Cougars will enter the weekend series with a 16-7 overall record and are coming off their fifth weekend series victory of 2016 and their second straight weekend sweep vs. George Washington.

Following Houston's game vs. Texas A&M, the Cougars will open American Athletic Conference play at East Carolina in a three-game series, as they look to defend their regular-season title from a year ago. The series is slated for Friday at 5:30 p.m. CT, 3 p.m. CT Saturday and Noon CT Sunday.
HITS ON HOUSTON
Houston will ride a 13-3 home record into its final home game in March when it meets Texas A&M on Tuesday. The Cougars, ranked at No. 15, have been riding the efforts of their pithing staff, who continues to rank among the nation's Top 10 in several categories, including leading the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio and walks allowed per nine innings.
Houston's pitching staff owns a 2.25 ERA and has eight saves in 23 games. The Cougars have struck out 207 and walked just 41 in 204.0 innings, while holding opponents to a .201 average.
Leading the pitching staff is sophomore Seth Romero, who is 4-0 with a 0.58 ERA. In 31.0 innings, he has struck out 39 and has one complete game and one combined shutout in five appearances and four starts.
Junior Andrew Lantrip holds the nation's best strikeout-to-walk ratio and is 4-2 with a 1.69 ERA in six starts. He has fanned 44 in 42.2 innings, while walking just one.
Freshman Mitch Ullom is coming off back-to-back impressive starts and is 3-1 with a 2.59 ERA in five appearances and four starts.
Junior John King is 3-1 with a 3.86 ERA, while junior Marshall Kasowski is 2-2 with a 4.32 ERA.
Out of the bullpen, Houston has relied heavily on the work of junior Nick Hernandez, who owns the team-lead with five saves in nine appearances. Freshmen Tanner Lawson has made seven appearances, while Trey Cumbie has made six.
Offensively, Houston is hitting .279 as a team and is slugging .421 with 20 home runs, 37 doubles and seven triples. The team is 32-of-40 on the base paths, led by sophomore Zac Taylor with nine.
Freshman Joe Davis paces the conference and team with a solid .402 average with 37 hits and 31 â€" sparked by six home runs.
Sophomore Connor Wong follows with a .365 average and a team-high 23 runs from the leadoff position, while senior Michael Pyeatt is hitting .349 and comes into Tuesday riding a 15-game hit streak.
ABOUT TEXAS A&M
Texas A&M will enter the week with a 21-3 record and are ranked as high as No. 1 this week. The Aggies opened SEC play this past weekend, winning the series, 2-1, vs. No. 10 LSU at home.
Texas A&M is hitting .336 as a team with 21 home runs, 54 doubles and 14 triples for a slugging percentage of .507. The offense is also 39-of-48 on the base paths.
Leading the way for the Aggies is Boomer White with a .404 average, while J.B. Moss is hitting .396 with a team-best 38 hits and 31 runs scored.
Texas A&M pitching owns a 2.65 ERA and has five shutouts, seven saves and is holding opponents to a .222 average. The Aggies have fanned 231 and walked 66 in 217.0 innings pitched.
Nine pitchers for Texas A&M hold a perfect record, led by a 5-0 record by Kyle Simonds (2.83 ERA). Jace Vines is 4-0 with a 3.38 ERA in five starts, while Tyler Ivey is 2-0 with a 1.97 in six starts.
Stephen Kolek made the start in Texas A&M's last midweek game vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He is 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA in two starts and three appearances this season.
Out of the bullpen, Texas A&M looks to Ryan Hendrix, who in 10 appearances, owns a 2.03 ERA and has five saves, while Brigham Hill is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in 11 appearances and three starts with one save.
SERIES HISTORY
Houston and Texas A&M will meet for the 169th time in program history, dating back to Game 1 in 1949. The Aggies own the all-time series, 110-57-1. Houston has claimed three of the last four meetings, but the Aggies won the 2015 meeting inside Minute Maid Park as part of the Houston College Classic in 2015, 6-0.
Houston is 21-10-1 at home all-time vs. Texas A&M, but the two teams have not played in Houston since May 11, 2010 when the Aggies won 12-3.

Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m., to 5:30 p.m.
Houston Baseball will offer variable pricing on its single-game tickets and group rates.

As noted in the table above, variable pricing occurs. For weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) games, prices range from $5-$7 depending on the choice of seating.
Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) online pricing will range from $6-$8 per game.
GROUP RATES
Group rates are also available (as noted in the table). Weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) and Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) pricing occurs. Groups of 10-24 are set at $4-$5 per person, while groups of 25+ are $3-$4 per person.
All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season baseball home games with a valid student ID.
