HOUSTON â€" Houston Softball looks to regain momentum as the Cougars head to Beaumont, Texas, for a midweek match up against Lamar.
The Cougars (15-15) will take on the Cardinals (18-11) Tomorrow in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. Game two of the series will begin 30 minutes following the end of the first game.

HITS ON HOUSTON |
• After losing game one of the series to Tulsa on Thursday, Houston Softball rebounded and took a 2-1 decision from the Golden Hurricane to even the series. The Cougars fell 8-3 in the series finale Saturday afternoon.
• The run-rule victory over Sam Houston State on Tuesday marked the program's sixth run rule win of the season.
• The Cougars snagged two wins over Sam Houston State on Tuesday. Five home runs and 25 runs scored highlighted the Cougars two victories.
• Freshman Rachel Hill led the Cougars will two home runs, a double and eight RBIs in the 12 innings played.
• Senior centerfielder Katie St. Pierre extended her reached base streak to 30 games this season and 31 straight dating back to last season. She now ranks second in school history for career stolen bases (56) and is just five away from tying the record set by Jessica Valis (2006-09) who posted 61 stolen bases. St. Pierre was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season for her performance vs. Tulsa.
• The Cougars have been hit by a pitch 42 times this season, 12 coming against sophomore Kaylin Crumpton. She has now been pegged 32 times in her career, ranking third in school history.
