Seven from 2016 Signing Class Named TSWA All-State

HOUSTON - Seven members of the 2016 #HTownTakeover signing class have been named to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Football teams including Katy safety Collin Wilder who was named the organization's Class 6A Defensive Player of the Year.
In addition to Wilder, Manvel quarterback D'Eriq King and Westfield defensive tackle Ed Oliver received Class 6A honors while John Tyler offensive lineman Braylon Jones, Crosby offensive lineman Keenan Murphy, Lovejoy quarterback Bowman Sells and Reagan running back Mulbah Car earned 5A honors. In addition to earning second team honors as an offensive lineman, Jones also received honorable mention honors as a defensive lineman.
For King, Oliver and Wilder, the latest announcement marked the third consecutive season to receive TSWA All-State honors while Jones, Murphy and Sells received the honor for the second straight season.
Six of the seven will officially step on the Tier One campus later this year while Sells began classes on Jan. 19 and will participate in action when Houston Football opens spring practice on Monday, March 7.

2015 Houston Season Ticket Members can renew their season tickets now by visiting UHCougars.com/renew or by following the instructions in an email to each account holder. Season ticket members may renew in full or through an interest free payment plan with the final renewal deadline set for April 29. The renewal deadline to take advantage of a three-month payment plan is Feb. 29 and a two-month payment plan on March 29.
