Fan Appreciation Day Once Again a Huge Hit

With the 2016 college baseball season a week away, Houston Baseball's Fan Appreciation Day and Alumni Game appeared to be a huge hit as fans flocked to the newly-named Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park on Saturday.
Nearly 70+ former players and families made it back to the annual event, while over 1,000 fans took in the sights and sounds of college baseball as it returned to the Cougars' home facility.
The 2016 team earned a 10-0 win over the Alumni, highlighted by the 1-hit shutout produced by the Houston pitching staff.
The Cougars will open the 2016 season when they welcome Villanova to Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park, Feb. 19-21 for a three-game series, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening. For tickets, visit UHCougars.com/tickets or call 713-GO-COOGS.
