Dauzat Gains CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

HOUSTON -University of Houston Soccer midfielder Hannah Dauzat has gained First Team Academic All-District accolades, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday.
A native of Cypress, Texas, Dauzat has started 15 of 16 games at midfield for the Cougars while playing in 983 minutes this season. Dauzat has nine points this season, four goals and an assist, including one game-winning goal. Dauzat is an accounting major with a 3.96 GPA.
To earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must participate as a starter or an important reserve, have reached sophomore academic standing, and maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Dauzat is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, which are scheduled to be announced Nov. 18.
Dauzat and the Cougars (6-6-3, 1-5-2 AAC) play host to SMU (11-5-1, 5-2-1 AAC) in their final match at 7 p.m., Thursday at Carl Lewis Complex.
