PREVIEW: Houston Visits SMU, Tulsa

HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Volleyball team will open the back half of its American Athletic Conference schedule with two road matches visiting SMU in a 7 p.m. match on Friday and Tulsa in a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday.
The Cougars (5-16, 0-10 The American) enter Friday looking to snap a 12-match losing streak. Houston fell to both Yale and host Rice in the Rice Adidas Invite II to close out non-conference play and have since opened league play with an 0-10 record.

• The Cougars, who are 25-43 all-time in The American, trail Tulsa 7-15 (Sets: 35-48) in the all-time series and are 2-8 (Sets: 10-24) when visiting the Golden Hurricane. Houston trails SMU 12-16 (Sets: 50-55) all-time and is 4-9 (Sets: 21-31) when playing the Mustangs in Dallas.
