CINCINNATI - Playing in its second overtime game of the season, Houston Soccer finished in a 0-0, double-overtime draw at conference foe Cincinnati. Houston was led by sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Estopare, who recorded a season-high 10 saves and the Cougars' sixth shutout Thursday night.
Goalkeeper Estopare spent all 110 minutes between the posts and finished with a season-best 10 saves. The Bend, Ore., native recorded her fifth shutout and the team's sixth of the season. The Arizona transfer's record is now 4-2-2 in goal this season.
Houston had good looks at the goal that saw the ball just miss off target. Perhaps none was closer than the ball played in from the top of the box by junior Kelsey Thein, which Bearcat goalkeeper Natalie Smith tipped over the bar in the 99th minute of play.
The Cougars now are 6-4-2 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play.
