Softball Hosts Temple College Thursday

HOUSTON â€" The University of Houston Softball program began fall training last Friday and has added several opponents to play exhibition games for the next month.
The Cougars are set to host Temple College for a doubleheader on Thursday starting at 4 p.m. Admission to all fall games is free and open to the public.
"We are really excited to start fall practices. We really had to put everything in fast gear since we are playing this week," Head Coach Kyla Holas said. "A lot of the girls are playing a lot of different spots because we really want to be able to put the best nine out there. These fall games will give us a chance to see where everyone is at and get a feel for what we need to work on moving forward."
Two weeks later, Houston will host three teams for a fall round robin at Cougar Softball Stadium. San Jacinto, Galveston and Sam Houston will be in attendance for the Saturday-Sunday tournament.

The Cougars close out fall practice with a doubleheader on Oct. 22 against Blinn CC. First pitch is set to begin at 4 p.m.
