HOUSTON -- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recognized the University of Houston Softball program as one of the nation's top fundraisers for StrikeOut Cancer this year.
"I am very proud of our athletic department, team and Houston community for supporting the cause," Head Coach Kyla Holas said. "We all work extremely hard to put on a great event, bring awareness and support to something that affects so many. Thank you all and we look forward to this year."
Houston Softball hosts a Striking Out Breast Cancer game each year. The 2016 season will mark the 10th anniversary of the event. The 2016 schedule will be released this fall.
