Softball Adds Ally Bessette to 2015-16 Roster

HOUSTON â€" Houston Softball Head Coach Kyla Holas has added transfer student Ally Bessette to the 2015-16 roster, becoming the eighth member of the newest recruiting class for the Cougars.
"We are so excited to add Ally to our program and have her back in the state of Texas," Holas said. "She is an athletic player that fits into our recruiting mold right now. I am looking forward to seeing her with the team and watching her contribute to our infield."
Bessette is a 5-1 infielder that comes to Houston after spending her freshman season at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. Bessette started in 37 of the 43 games played for the Bruins. She recorded 14 hits, five doubles a triple and 10 RBIs. Defensively, she was a part of five double plays turned.
Prior to Belmont, Bessette played under head coach Enrique Luna at Bryan High School. As a senior she earned the District 14-5A First Team All-District and was a two-time Second Team All-Brazos Valley honoree.
