Defense Claims Second Scrimmage Victory
4/11/2015 12:00:00 AM | Football

HOUSTON - The threat of rain was replaced with an air of intensity Saturday inside TDECU Stadium as the Houston Football program held its second of three spring scrimmages. Using a modified scoring system for the offensive and defensive side of the ball, the Houston defense claimed its second straight scrimmage victory after winning the first on March 28.
The defenders walk back to the Athletics/Alumni Center was a little lighter as the offensive side of the ball had to carry back the defense's helmet and shoulder pads following the loss.
The scrimmage served as a final tune-up for next Saturday's Red & White Game inside TDECU Stadium. Fans will see two teams split up next week for a traditional game.

Houston native and country musician Rich O'Toole will also take to the stage for a free concert for Houston fans from 5:15-6:15 while the UH team will sign autographs from 5:30-6:15 p.m. just outside the Cougar Field gates prior to the Houston-Cincinnati baseball game at 6:30 p.m.
