Houston Student-Athletes Participate in Etiquette Dinner

HOUSTON - Over 70 University of Houston student-athletes and athletic administrators took part in the fourth annual Houston Leadership Academy Etiquette Dinner, Monday night at the UH Hilton.
"This is a really good thing to help us for the future," senior Kayla Holland said. "A lot of us are about to graduate and we'll have this background to feel more comfortable to go into the real world."
Student-athletes and administrators received professional instruction on proper dinner etiquette, how to set a dinner table properly, how to network, and many other life lessons all while being treated to a full three-course meal.
Not only did the student-athletes learn a great deal, but the Cougars were also able to interact with alumni and fellow Houston student-athletes from other teams.
"Being with other student-athletes who are going through the same things you're going through is important," said senior L.J. Rose. "It's great to learn proper etiquette in a way where you get to have fun with it."
Houston Athletics is looking forward to another strong season, not only on the playing field, but away from it as well. The Cougars will look to build upon a fall semester that saw this group of student-athletes post the second highest cumulative grade point average in department history of 2.89, in part by recording the second-best fall semester mark in department history at 2.84.

2015 FOOTBALL SEASON TICKET RENEWALS
2015 Renewals will be sent to 2014 Season Ticket Members in early April. Once season ticket members receive their renewal information, they may renew in full or use an interest free payment plan. To be eligible for the seat upgrade process, season ticket members must renew their current season tickets. Seats not sold as season tickets in 2014 will immediately be made available for new sales at the beginning of the renewal process.
