Price Finishes Fourth On Final Day of Texas Relays

AUSTIN - The Houston Cougar men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the final day of the 88th Annual Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with performances in the discus and 4x100, and 4x200 meter relays, on Saturday, in Austin, Texas.
Houston's top performance of the day came from senior Justine Price in the discus. The Hearne, Texas native registered a throw of 51.11m (167-8) on her third attempt of the competition. That effort from Price currently gives her the 24th best throw in the nation according to TFRRS.org.
Houston would also get a seventh place finish in the women's 4x200m relay and an eighth place finish in the men's 4x100m Relay Invitational to conclude action from Austin. Tori Williams, Maureen Redmond, Kelli Hardnett and Brittany Kinney combined to run a 1:37.41 for the women while the men's team of LeShon Collins, James Arnett, Curtis Brown and Issac Williams finished the 400m relay in 40.14.

Houston heads to cross-town rival Rice for its next competition in the Rice Victor Lopez Bayou Classic. The meet will be held Friday, April 3, and Saturday April 4 at Holloway Field and Ley Track.
