Kids Encouraged to Join the Cougar Cubs

HOUSTON - The University of Houston Women's Basketball program is accepting applications for the Cougar Cubs, a new group for kids in grades 3-6 who will serve as ball kids during home games in 2015-16. Parents can register their kids for the Cougar Cubs by visiting UHCougars.com/CougarCubs.
Kids who join the Cougar Cubs will assist the UH game operations staff with handling basketballs, maintaining the Hofheinz Pavilion surface and aiding the officials. Cougar Cubs members will receive a t-shirt and special credential and will have their names announced prior to the game. After the game, Cougar Cubs members will have the opportunity to meet head coach Ronald Hughey and members of the Houston Women's Basketball team.

The Cougars open their 2015-16 season Sunday at 2 p.m. CT with an exhibition game against Texas A&M-International. Admission into Hofheinz Pavilion is FREE as fans get their first opportunity to see the 2015-16 Coogs in action.
