Vogasari Selected to National Indoors

SKILLMAN, N.J. - University of Houston Tennis junior Despoina Vogasari received an at-large bid to the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday evening. This will be Vogasari's second consecutive selection to the prestigious national championship, which runs Nov. 12-15 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
Vogasari is 9-2 on the season and last competed Oct. 22-26 at the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championships in College Station. The 2014 Texas Singles Champion, Vogasari fell in the finals of the 2015 tournament but received an at-large selection to National Indoors on the strength of her No. 42 ITA singles ranking.
The full field for the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships was announced Monday night and can be viewed HERE. The complete draw will be announced at a later date. Last season, Vogasari went 1-1 at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. In the Round of 32, Vogasari knocked off No. 15 Zoe Scandalis of USC, 6-1, 6-1. One round later, Vogasari took No. 43 Maegan Manasse of Cal to the wire before falling, 6-4, 6-4.
Earlier on Monday, Vogasari was honored as American Athletic Conference Player of the Month for the fourth time in her career. The Athens, Greece, native is also the 2015 American Player of the Year and the only American Athletic Conference student-athlete to compete on the women's side of the 2015 National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.

Gifts to the Center Court Club provide financial support directly to the University of Houston Tennis program for needs beyond the program's operating budget. Revenue generated from the Center Court Club is used at the discretion of the Head Coach for program enhancements. Membership in the Center Court Club is annual and requires a minimum $100 gift.

For a minimum gift of $500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation and a stadium blanket.
US OPEN
For a minimum gift of $1,000, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket and a lesson from the coach.
GRAND SLAM
For a minimum gift of $2,500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket, a lesson from the coach and a group lesson from the coaching staff.
