Vogasari Ends National Indoors Run

FLUSHING, N.Y. - University of Houston Tennis junior Despoina Vogasari's run at the prestigious USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships ended Friday, as she was defeated in the Round of 16. With the loss, Vogasari's fall campaign ends with a 10-3 record.
Vogasari, listed No. 42 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings, fell to No. 32 Belinda Woolcock of Florida, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
The Athens, Greece, native got off to a slow start but recovered to dominate the second set. Vogasari was down a break early in the third set before rallying to tie it at 5-all. However, Woolcock won the final two games to secure the match.
Vogasari's fall season was incredibly successful, as she won American Athletic Conference Player of the Month honors in September and October. She went 3-0 at the Rice Invitational and finished runner-up at the Texas Regional Championships.

For a minimum gift of $1,000, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket and a lesson from the coach.
GRAND SLAM
For a minimum gift of $2,500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket, a lesson from the coach and a group lesson from the coaching staff.
