Football Jersey Auction Begins at 5 p.m., Monday

HOUSTON -- University of Houston Football fans can purchase commemorative jerseys from the Oct. 31 game against Vanderbilt, beginning with a Buy It Now auction at 5 p.m. (CT) Monday.
First-year Houston Football Head Coach Tom Herman and his staff will not unveil the jerseys until the team first sees them Oct. 31. During the Buy It Now auction, fans can purchase these jerseys, sight unseen, at a one-time cost of $300 (not including shipping and handling).
Fans can at UHCougars.com and Houstonalumni.com once it begins at 5 pm (CT) Monday. Fans should stay tuned to UHCougars.com and Houston Football social media sites for the latest information.
Proceeds raised from the auction benefit student-athlete scholarships and alumni scholarships and programming at the University.
After the team sees the uniforms for the first time, the Buy It Now portion of the auction will end at 1 p.m. (CT), Oct. 30, and images of the jerseys will be displayed on the web site, beginning at a time to be announced on Oct. 31. Those jerseys not purchased during the Buy It Now portion will be available in a regular auction for fans.
The auctions for all remaining jerseys and memorabilia end at 5 p.m. (CT), Nov. 11.
This marks the fifth consecutive season in which the University of Houston Department of Athletics, Cougar Pride and the UH Alumni Association teamed up to auction off the game jerseys worn during a key game on Houston Football's schedule.
The game time for the Vanderbilt game will be announced soon.

5 p.m. (CT), Nov. 11 -- Auction ends for all jerseys and memorabilia
