Houston Softball Single-Game Tickets on Sale Now

HOUSTON - With Houston Softball set to host 28 home games in 2015, fans can secure their seat as single-game tickets are on sale now via the Houston Athletics Ticket Office.
Fans can purchase general admission single-game tickets beginning as low as $5 for youth and $8 for adults through UHCougars.com or by contacting the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
While single-game tickets are available, fans are encouraged to save and purchase 2015 season tickets. General admission season tickets are just $75 for 28 home games ($2.68 per ticket). Fans can also purchase season tickets online by clicking here or calling the ticket office 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
In her 15th season at the helm of Houston Softball, Head Coach Kyla Holas has assembled a strong schedule featuring seven teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year, including three clubs (Alabama, Baylor and Louisiana-Lafayette) that played in the 2014 Women's College World Series.
"We try and play the numbers game when it comes to scheduling," Holas said. "The RPI is a big factor to postseason, and we want to make sure we put together a case every year that says we want to play with the best and compete. I am excited about our schedule this season and hope this team is prepared come February to take it on."

To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season softball home games with a valid student ID.
A LOOK AT THE 2015 SCHEDULE
Houston Softball opens its 2015 slate on the road but return for two home tournaments at Cougar Softball Stadium.
The Cougars host DePaul, SFA, McNeese State, UMass and Northern Iowa for the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational Feb. 13-15, a three day round robin tournament. The following weekend, Houston hosts the Houston Hilton Plaza Classic (Feb. 20-22) featuring New Mexico, Illinois and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Following the first two home tournaments of the season, the Cougars host two Women's College World Series participants including semi-finalist Oregon (Feb. 16) and Texas (April 1).
Although this is the Cougars second year in the American Athletic Conference, Houston will face several new opponents as the conference welcomes East Carolina and Tulsa. The Cougars will host three conference series at home for a doubleheader on Fridays and a single game on Saturdays.

A LOOK BACK AT 2014
Houston Softball (33-23) appeared in its fourth consecutive postseason at the Waco Regional. The Cougars fell to now conference opponent Tulsa in a 2-1 walk-off decision. Houston kept its chances alive with a 7-6 comeback win over Northwestern State advancing to an elimination game against Tulsa. The Cougars season came to an end with a 10-6 loss to the Golden Hurricane.
Senior Haley Outon became the first Cougar in program history to be named Academic All-American while also one of seven selected to the NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes list. The Akron Racers signed Outon following her outstanding collegiate career, becoming the sixth Cougar to sign a professional contract.
The Cougars also had an outstanding academic year as Houston was honored with the American Athletic Conference Team Academic Excellence Award for the 3.37 semester GPA Houston posted. The Cougars had seven athletes selected as the NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes while 14 student-athletes were named to the conference all-academic team.
