Hamilton and his Houston teammates recently completed their fall seasons. He posted three top-20 showings in four events, including a tie for 11th at the season-opening Northern Intercollegiate on Sept. 5-7.
Now in his third year with the Cougars under director of golf Jonathan Dismuke, Hamilton has played in 14 collegiate events during his career with four top-10 showings and nine top-20 finishes. In the summer of 2013, he became the first Cougar since 2007 to qualify for the U.S. Amateur Championship. He advanced to the Round of 32 in match play before bowing out, becoming the first Houston Men's Golfer to win in match play at the nation's premier amateur event since 1999
