University of Houston Athletics
Press Conference: Houston vs. UCF

Sept. 30, 2014
Head Coach Tony Levine
Opening Statement
"As I normally do after a win; I know it has been a couple weeks, but I'll talk about the players of the week from the UNLV game. On offense, it was running back Ryan Jackson and our five offensive line starters. Ryan rushed for a career high, and we had 399 yards (rushing) as an offense. On defense, junior Eric Eiland, and on special teams, kickoff specialist Ty Cummings.
I just wanted to announce that publicly since we had not had the opportunity to do it with the bye last week.
Looking forward to the game Thursday night. It will be a great challenge for our program to face the champion from our league last season, Central Florida. .
They have an outstanding team. That's certainly been proven over time. What they did last year speaks for itself. Coach O'Leary does a fantastic job, it's very easy to see on video that he coached a team, whether you put it on offense, defense or special teams. that was very disciplined, well-coached. They've got tremendous athletes in all three phases.
It will be a challenge for us. As I have said in the past, regardless of opponent, it is more about us and our preparation and execution than anything."
