Kordolaimi, Vogasari Begin ITA All-American

Sept. 27, 2014 Houston - Senior Elena Kordolaimi and sophomore Despoina Vogasari started their ITA All-American tournament play Saturday morning.

Kordolaimi took on Melissa Kopinski of Illinois for the second time in her career, having beat Kopinski her freshman year in Fort Myers, Florida back in 2012. Playing for a spot in the qualifying round of the All-American, Kordolaimi was unable to repeat her previous success, as she fell in 3 sets to Kopinski, 0-6, 6-4, 6-4.

On the doubles side of the All-American, Kordolaimi and Vogasari faced off with the University of Texas duo of Ryann Foster and Danielle Wagland. The Houston pair put forth a valiant effort before ultimately falling by a score of 8-6.

Vogasari will begin her qualifying play on Tuesday against a to be determined opponent.
