Houston Baseball Ranked Among Nation's Top 25

HOUSTON - After notching four wins last week to improve its record to 15-3 to start to the 2014 season, Houston Baseball, has earned its way into four national polls, debuting among the nation's Top 25 this week, polling in as high as No. 21 in Perfect Game rankings.
The Cougars poll in at No. 23 in Baseball America and NCBWA, while ranking No. 24 in the USA Today/Coaches poll.
The No. 21 ranking by Perfect Game is the highest for Houston since being ranked No. 19 in early April last season. The Cougars were one of three new teams in this week's Perfect Game Top 25, joining UC Santa Barbara (20) and San Diego (25).
Among that poll, Houston will or has played five teams (Louisville, Rice, UCLA, Sam Houston State, Texas), including earning wins over No. 15 Rice and No. 18 UCLA.

Baseball America ranked Houston at No. 23 this week with the Cougars being just one of two teams new to this poll. Houston joined San Diego (24) as newcomers. Baseball America polls the Top 25 with 2014 opponents No. 11 Rice, No. 14 Louisville, No. 15 Texas, No. 16 Sam Houston State and No. 22 UCLA among that group.
The Cougars will host Rice (March 25), Louisville (April 11-13) and Sam Houston State (April 22).

Houston also found itself among the nation's Top 25 in the National Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll at No. 23 - moving up seven spots from last week's debut at No. 30. The Cougars rank in the USA Today/Coaches Poll at No. 24. Joining Sam Houston State as newcomers this week.

Houston is coming off a 4-0 week to improve its overall season record to 15-3. The Cougars are now a perfect 11-0 at home this season - the best home start since a 13-0 mark back in 1989.
ON DECK
Houston will continue its March-long homestand with five games this week at Cougar Field. First up is Lamar on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., followed by Texas Southern on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. College of Charleston will meet Houston this weekend for a three-game set (Friday-Sunday/6:30 pm/6:30 pm/11:30 am).

SINGLE GAME TICKETS
Single-game tickets begin as low as $6 for youth and $8 for adults in general admission seating (Level 200) and as low as $8 for youth and $10 for adults in reserved seating (Level 100).
Premium games for the Cougars will include the Baylor midweek game (Tues., March 11), the Rice midweek game (Tues., March 25) and the Louisville weekend series (April 11-13). Premium games begin as low as $7 for youth and $10 for adults in general admission seating (Level 200) and as low as $12 for youth and $15 for adults in reserved seating (Level 100).

FAMILY PLAN TICKET PACKAGE
Families can purchase the Family Plan for just $399, which includes two adult and two youth General Admission tickets to each of the 33 home games.
SEASON TICKETS
General Admission seats include 33 "Anytime Tickets". You may use one ticket to each home game, 33 tickets to one game, or any combination in between.
General Admission season tickets start for as low as $150 (33 home games/$4.50 per ticket), while Reserved season tickets start at only $200 (33 home games/$6.00 per ticket).

Kids who show up at Cougar Field in a UH Baseball Camp T-Shirt and are in the eighth grade or younger will receive FREE ADMISSION to any Houston Baseball home game.
