Cougars in the NFL: Week 9

HOUSTON - Houston Football returns home to host Tulane on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. inside TDECU Stadiu. With that game coming up, several Cougars saw action in Week 9 of the NFL, including former defensive standout D.J. Hayden for the Oakland Raiders.
WR Donnie Avery (KC) did not play in the Chiefs' Week 9 win over the New York Jets. The Chiefs, who are 5-3, are scheduled to visit the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.

RB Jackie Battle (TEN) and the Tennessee Titans did not play due to their Week 9 bye. They will play an away game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10.

LS Thomas Gafford (KC) played but did not record any stats in the Chiefs' Week 9 home victory over the New York Jets. Gafford and the Chiefs are scheduled for a Week 10 away game against the Buffalo Bills.

CB D.J. Hayden (OAK) recorded five tackles and two assist tackles in the Raiders' Week 9 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. Hayden, who has missed most of the season due to a foot injury, and the Raiders are set to host the Denver Broncos in Week 10.
