Cougars in the NFL: Week 7

HOUSTON - With Houston Football in its second bye week of the 2014 season, several Cougars saw action in Week 7 of the NFL season.
WR Donnie Avery (KC) did not play in the Chiefs' Week 7 victory over the San Diego Chargers due to surgery. The Chiefs are scheduled for a home game against the St. Louis Rams in Week 8.

RB Jackie Battle (TEN) registered two carries totaling three yards and two receptions equaling 13 yards in the Titans' loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. Battle, who tallies 21 all-purpose yards and one touchdown for the season, and the Titans are set to host the Houston Texans in Week 8.

LS Thomas Gafford (KC) played in the Chiefs' win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 7 but did not record any stats. Gafford and the Chiefs are scheduled for a Week 8 home game against the Houston Texans.

CB D.J. Hayden (OAK) remains on the Raiders' Physically Unable to Perform list. The Raiders are scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns in Week 8 after losing to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. The Raiders remain the only team in the league without a win.
