Houston Tennis Travels to Face Southern Miss, Mississippi State

HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis team will travel for its first road dual matches of the season when it meets Southern Miss at 11 a.m., on Saturday and Mississippi State at 1 p.m., on Sunday.
The Cougars (3-1) will play their first Conference USA contest of the spring season when they face Southern Miss (0-1) in Hattiesburg, Miss., and return to non-conference action against the Lady Bulldogs at A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville, Miss.
Houston opened the season with dominating victories over No. 59 Stephen F. Austin, McNeese State and Tyler Junior College, earning a No. 75 national ranking, before falling in a 4-3 thriller to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday.
The Cougars have been stellar in singles action, combining for an 18-6 record (.750), while senior Maja Kazimieruk (4-0) and junior Dionne Sanders (3-0) remain unbeaten.
