2013 Ken Baxter Football Banquet Set for Dec. 8

HOUSTON -The 2013 Ken Baxter Football Banquet will be held Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Bayou City Event Center (9401 Knight Road), the Houston Football program announced Wednesday. The evening will begin with check-in and a pre-event reception at 5:30 p.m., with the event officially kicking off at 6 p.m.
Houston will honor nine 2013 award winners including the Andre Ware Offensive MVP, the Wilson Whitley Defensive MVP, the Tom Wilson Weight Room Off-Season MVP, the President's Academic Excellence Award and the Bill Yeoman Special Contributors Award. In addition to the nine awards, 16 seniors will be recognized for their amazing contributions to the Houston Football program.
The banquet will also include a quick recap of the 2013 season from Head Coach Tony Levine.
The night will be an exciting one as the Houston Football program is expected to learn its bowl destination that evening as well.
Fans wishing to attend the banquet can do so with individual tickets starting at $50. Table options include a Cougar Table with 10 banquet tickets and priority seating for $500, a Sponsor Table with 10 banquet tickets, preferred seating and program recognition for $700 and an Underwriter Table with 10 banquet tickets, VIP seating and program recognition for $1,000.

Houston returns to action Saturday at 6 p.m. CST as it faces No. 19 UCF in Orlando, Fla. The game is a matchup of the two unbeaten teams in American Athletic Conference games as UH enters 7-1 and 4-0 in The American while UCF is 6-1 and 3-0 in league play. The nationally-televised game will air on ESPN2, and KTRH 740 AM will carry the radio call in the Houston area.

Houston fans can purchase single game tickets to Houston's two remaining home games -Nov. 23 vs. Cincinnati at Rice Stadium and Nov. 29 vs. SMU at Reliant Stadium - with prices starting at just $27.
