HOUSTON - With temperatures expected in the high 80s at kickoff, Houston fans attending Saturday night's season-opening game against Texas State are encouraged to properly hydrate throughout the day and at Robertson Stadium. To help fans with the process, the Houston Athletics Department is permitting fans to bring in one unopened 20-ounce bottle of water to each game this season.
Houston fans are also encouraged to wear loose and light colored clothing while applying sunscreen to protect from the sun throughout the day. Wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses are also encouraged during the day.
Fans can buy season and/or single-game home tickets online, by phone at 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office. The Athletics Ticket Office is located on the first floor of the Athletics/Alumni Center at 3100 Cullen Boulevard.
Single-game home ticket prices vary from game-to-game, so fans are encouraged to call the Athletics Ticket Office for more information.
In addition to single-game sales, season tickets, mini-plans and road game tickets are currently available on-line, in person or by phone. Season tickets start as low as $140 with Family Plans going for $319. Three-game mini-plans are on sale starting at $90.
As the Cougars prepare for the final season at Robertson Stadium in 2012, fans are encouraged to purchase their season tickets now. When the Cougars move into their new $105 million facility for the 2014 season, premium seating options will be given first to those fans with a history of purchasing season tickets.
The Cougars are well ahead of last year's record-setting season-ticket sales total, so fans should order their season tickets today and help the Athletics Department reach their goal of 15,000 season-ticket sales.
To secure parking spaces and to support student-athlete scholarships through Cougar Pride for the upcoming season, fans should contact Cougar Pride at 713-743-GOUH or email cougarpride@uh.edu. Fans also can visit UHCougars.com and click the Cougar Pride tab for more information or click here.
