Baseball Suspended; Resume Play on Saturday at 4 pm

HOUSTON- Friday's baseball game between the University of Houston and Tulane was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning after a lightening and severe weather threat near Cougar Field. The game will resume play on Saturday at 4 p.m. Game 2 of the series is still scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
TICKET INFORMATION
Gates will open at 3 p.m. for tomorrow's resumed game at 4 p.m. Following the conclusion of that game, the stadium will be cleared for Game 2 of the series. Tickets can still be purchased for Saturday's originally scheduled game at the Box Office at Cougar Field.
PARKING
Fans need to take into consideration parking arrangements, as Houston will still be hosting graduation ceremonies prior to the 4 p.m. start on Saturday.
GAME INFORMATION
Tulane is leading Houston 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh. Senior Codey Morehouse is set to leadoff for the Cougars, followed by Landon Appling and senior Jake Runte.
The Green Wave went up 3-0 after two innings following four hits, but Houston responded in the fifth to make it 3-2. Houston opened the frame with a leadoff walk by freshman Michael Pyeatt and plated two on three hits by Morehouse, Appling and Runte. Tulane grabbed another run in the sixth after consecutive hits, but senior John Cannon belted his first homerun of the season in the latter half of the frame to pull the Cougars back within one at 4-3.
Houston starter Austin Pruitt (7.0,9,4,3,3,4) continues to throw for the Cougars. The righty has gone 7.0 innings, allowed three earned runs on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts thus far.
Tulane's Kyle McKenzie (1.0,0,0,0,0,1) is on the bump for the Green Wave.
UP NEXT
Following the resumed game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Houston and Tulane will continue the series at 6:30 p.m. at Cougar Field. Game 3 will be played on Sunday at 1 p.m.
