Errol Nolan Named C-USA Male Athlete of the Week

HOUSTON - University of Houston junior sprinter Errol Nolan was named Conference USA Male Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday, following his winning effort in College Station on Saturday.
Nolan recently set the NCAA's top mark in the men's 400m dash at the Texas A&M Invitational with his time of 46.12. Nolan also set a new University of Houston indoor school record, as he surpassed his previous mark of 46.46.
This marks the second Athlete of the Week honor this season for Nolan and the fourth of his career.
In addition to being the NCAA's No. 1 ranked 400m runner, the Rosenberg, Texas native currently ranks 18th in the 200m dash with his 21.19 mark and 23rd in the 60m dash with his time of 6.70.
UP NEXT
Nolan and the Cougars prepare for the 2012 Indoor C-USA Championships, Feb. 24-25 in Birmingham, Ala. The men's team will be looking for its sixth consecutive indoor title.
Nolan will play a big role in the team's overall performance as he currently ranks No. 1 in C-USA in the 60m dash, 200m dash and 400m dash.
