With 24 day remaining until kickoff of the 2011 football season, the University of Houston Athletics Tickets Office administrators announced that three-game mini-plans are now on sale.
Fans can save money off the per-game cost by purchasing these valued mini-plans. Purchasers have two options -- the UCLA Mini-Plan and the Rice Mini-Plan -- when choosing and will receive the same great seats for all three games. Packages including the UCLA game are $99 for reserved seats and $149 for Priority East (Cougar Pride) seats. The second option, which includes Rice costs just $90 for reserved and $140 for Priority East.
The UCLA three-game pack includes either the Georgia State or Marshall games, and your choice of the third game from contests vs. Rice, East Carolina or SMU. The Rice Mini-Plan gives you either the Georgia State or Marshall games, with the second choice between East Carolina or SMU.
"These mini plans give our fans a more economical option to buying season tickets, but still get the great locations of reserved seating," said Mike Rea, Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Customer Service. "The smaller package has been very popular with Cougar football fans in the past so we are happy to offer the convenience again this year.
"We believe that any fan looking forward to being in the stands for the season opener vs. UCLA will want to move quickly for these tickets if they haven't already purchased season tickets," Rea continued "We don't anticipate a likelihood of a single-game sale for that contest."
Last season, Cougar football was sold out for five of six home games at Robertson Stadium and established its two largest crowds in Stadium history against Texas State and UTEP. The Cougars also have won 84 percent of its home contests dating back to the 2006 season with a 26-5 record.
Fans can purchase the mini-plans by calling 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647), by visiting the Athletics Tickets Office on the first floor of the Athletics/Alumni Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by clicking the Tickets link at UHCougars.com.
