PRACTICE #2 REPORT: The UH football team had a very spirited practice Saturday evening on the practice fields, hitting to the hits. Coach Sumlin surprised the team with a speaker system playing upbeat music for the entire two hours.
"I think it was good for them," said Sumlin. "You are always looking for ways to jazz up practice and I certainly saw a different energy out of them today."
KINGSBURY TALKS QUARTERBACKS
FOOTBALL FACILITY RENOVATIONS: Over the summer, the UH football team facility got new digs and a renovation in their meeting room space. An area where many hours are spent during the week preparing for their opponents, it has now a look to truly motivate and inspire.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED: The walk-on program is a vital part of UH's success and over the years have seen many walk-ons awarded scholarships after showing their contributions to the team. Sumlin announced that the latest to earn athletic aid is senior linebacker John McIntyre.
