On playing so many freshmen...
"A lot of them came here with the notion that they were going to get a lot of playing time. It is here and you have to step up and play. This is what real Division I basketball is about. We are going to stay positive and continue to do everything we can do. We are never going to give up. Hopefully it will give them a chance to grow up."
On Terran Alford's 20-rebound performance...
"That is what hard work will do. To be able to come in her fourth college basketball game and tie a school record is amazing. She never stops working. She has lots of potential. Her best basketball is ahead of her.
On players stepping up...
"If we can get the 20 rebounds from Terran and the 14 points from Mae (Woods) and get them to work through each other we will be effective. We also need Danielle Parks or someone else to be that person to step up. Then we will be going somewhere. We can let it all be on our guards. One of the obvious players that has stepped up is Roxana Button. That kid has more heart and guts than I have ever seen. I love her and I'm incredibly proud of what she is doing. "
