El Paso, Texas - The University of Houston volleyball team fell to UTEP 3-2 (25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 16-25, 13-15) Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gym to close out its weekend road trip. The Cougars are now 16-7 on the season and 9-3 in Conference USA play.

"Today was a very winnable match. In a couple of critical moments we struggled with our passing," head coach Molly Alvey said.
"Our middle blockers did a very nice job adjusting to blocking assignments today. We will get back to it at practice on Tuesday and we plan to have Ingrida back from injury for this coming weekend. There is still a lot of season left and a lot of big matches left to play."
