Baseball and Softball Announce Additional Ticket Packages

HOUSTON - With just a few weeks until the start of the 2011 baseball and softball seasons, the Houston Athletics Ticket Office announced multiple ticket packages for the 2011 season on Monday.
The Cougar softball team kicks off their season on Feb. 11 when UH hosts the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational at Cougar Softball Stadium. Teams scheduled to attend the tournament include Michigan, Southern Illinois, Ohio and Stephen F. Austin.
Just one week later the Todd Whitting era will begin at Cougar Field and the UH baseball team opens the year with a three-game series against UT-Arlington on Feb. 18.
SOFTBALL TICKET PACKAGES
To ensure that Cougar fans don't miss a minute of softball in 2011, the Houston Athletics Ticket Office is offering a Grand Slam Package. For $24 fans can receive tickets to any four games on the schedule.
A Softball Saturday Package is also available for $36. This will ensure attendance at all six Saturdays on the home schedule, including all games during the Cougars' two tournaments and both games of each Saturday doubleheader.
All seats are general admission.
BASEBALL TICKET PACKAGES
Similar plans are available for fans wanting to attend games at Cougar Field. The Baseball Grand Slam Package will allow you to purchase tickets to two premium games (Ole Miss and Rice) and two non-premium games for $32.
A Baseball Saturday Package is available for $48 and this will give fans a chance to attend all seven Saturday games during the 2011 season, including the contests against Ole Miss and Rice.
Seats for both baseball packages will be available in the 200 level seating areas.
Both packages are a great deal for fans. They allow a 20 percent savings over the individual game ticket cost and you are able to purchase the games of your choice before single game tickets go on sale to the public.
SEASON TICKET INFORMATION
Season tickets are also still available for purchase.
For fans wanting to purchase baseball season tickets, a variety of packages will be available with prices ranging from $100-$399. Public reserved seating in the 100 level is on sale for $200, while public general admission seating in the 200 level is priced at $165 for the season.
Fans wanting to bring the whole family can secure a great deal with the Family Fun Plan. Each season ticket holder selecting this option will receive two adult and two youth general admission season tickets for $399. For families with more than two children, additional youth tickets can be purchased for $125 each.
The Ticket Office offers a softball season ticket plan that is both affordable and flexible. General admission tickets are available for only $75.
Each season-ticket package is part of a flex-plan and will include one (1) ticket for each regular season home date. The season ticket holder may use one (1) ticket to each game or multiple tickets to fewer games.
Each of the ticket plans above are available online by logging on to UHCougars.com and going to the ticket page, by calling the UH Ticket Office at (713) GO-COOGS (462-6647) or by coming to the Houston Athletics Ticket Office in the Athletics/Alumni Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
