Houston Baseball Alumni Game Scheduled For Feb. 12

HOUSTON- Head baseball coach Todd Whitting has announced that the 2011 Houston Baseball Alumni Game has been scheduled for Feb. 12 at Cougar Field.
Check-in will begin at 9 a.m., followed by batting practice at 10 a.m. The first pitch will be thrown out at 11:30 a.m. After the game participants and their families are invited to attend the annual "H" Association BBQ in the Bill Yeoman Fieldhouse.
The cost of this year's event will be $30, which includes the participant's meal, shirt, hat and refreshments for the day. If family would like to attend as well and plan to eat, the cost for additional guest is $15 for adults and children under the age of 14 eat free.
Participants and their families are also invited to the men's basketball game following the BBQ when they play host to Tulane at 4 p.m. in Hofheinz Pavilion. Tickets are available for $6.
Alumni wanting to attend are asked to please RSVP to Traci Cauley by Feb. 1 by calling her directly at 713-743-9396 or by email at tcauley@central.uh.edu. Provide her with the number of guests attending and the payment will be collected at the game.
The Cougar Baseball team opens the 2011 season with a three-game home series against Texas-Arlington at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 18. The series will continue at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 19 and conclude at 1 p.m., Feb. 20.
Season tickets are still available by logging on to UHCougars.com and going to the ticket page, by calling the UH Ticket Office at (713) GO-COOGS (462-6647) or by going to the Houston Athletics Ticket Office in the Athletic/Alumni Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
