Houston, Texas - University of Houston head football coach Kevin Sumlin announced Thursday that Saturday's scrimmage was moved to Delmar Stadium to accommodate the Houston fans as well as the multiple events and scheduling conflicts on the UH campus this weekend.
The scrimmage will be held at 11 am. Delmar Stadium is located at 2020 Mangum Road near the intersection of the 610 Loop and U.S. Highway 290, otherwise known as the Northwest Freeway.
"I want to thank (Houston Independent School District Athletics Director) Daryl Wade for allowing us to move our scrimmage to Delmar Stadium," said Sumlin, "providing our fans and players with a wonderful venue to watch the scrimmage."
This scrimmage will be the second of the spring season for the Cougars. Houston will wrap up spring practice next week with three workouts (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and the annual Red-White Game at noon on Saturday, April 24, at Robertson Stadium.
