HOUSTON - Each week during the 2010 season, the University of Houston baseball team will feature one member of its team as the Player of the Week. The goal of having a Player of the Week is to give fans a chance to get to know the Cougars off the field.
This week's featured player is sophomore infielder Austin Gracey. The Spring, Texas, native tied the UH single-game record with three home runs against UTSA on April 13. He also recorded a career-high seven RBIs. Gracey has seen a majority of action this season at third base after transferring to UH from Cisco Junior College. He is batting .270 on the year with two doubles, a triple and four home runs. His 19 RBIs are tied for the third highest total on the team.
