Softball to Host Houston Independent School District Day on Saturday

HOUSTON - As part of an exciting promotional schedule for the 2010 season, the University of Houston softball team welcomes all Houston Independent School District students to the Southern Miss doubleheader on Saturday, March 13 at 5 p.m. All students will get in for the youth ticket price of $5.
Join the Cougars for a day of fun at the ballpark. The Cougar Softball Stadium provides an enjoyable, family-friendly atmosphere that serves as a great and unique way to spend a Saturday with the kids. All HISD students will enjoy the chance to win a free t-shirt or a poster autographed by the team in addition to having the opportunity to participate in singing the National Anthem. Give your kids the chance to be bat girls/boys and sit in the dugout with the Cougars during the game.
Parents can enjoy free parking by the Cougar Softball Stadium, which is located on the University of Houston campus at the corner of Scott St. and Elgin St.
Want to go with your friends? Groups with 10 or more members will receive the VIP treatment and are eligible for following benefits: the opportunity to be bat kids for the Houston softball team, chances to win prizes, recognition at the game, standing with the team during the National Anthem, the opportunity to call the fourth inning of the game, attend a post-game autograph session with the team and a post-game opportunity to run the bases.
Groups ranging from 10-49 can purchase tickets for $4 each. Parties of 50-99 can buy tickets for $3 each. Those with 100 members or more will receive the discounted price of $2 each. All group tickets must be purchased in advance.
