HOUSTON - Each week during the 2010 season, the University of Houston baseball team will feature one member of its team as the Player of the Week. The goal of having a Player of the Week is to give fans a chance to get to know the Cougars off the field.
This week's featured player is freshman infielder Travis Trial. The Houston native has made five starts this season at second base. He turned in a breakthrough performance against Stephen F. Austin last week, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Trial also hit his first career home run at UH and had a triple against UCF on Saturday.
