Cougars Set For Pro Day

Houston, Texas - The University of Houston football program will hold its annual Pro Day on Tuesday, March 30, in the Yeoman Field House in the Athletics/Alumni Center. Twelve former Cougars will workout for several NFL scouts as all vie for a chance to play in the National Football League.
The workout-under the guidance of Larry Jackson, UH Strength and Conditioning Coach-is closed to the general public.
Participants this year are center Carl Barnett, safety Carson Blackmon, cornerback Brandon Brinkley, linebacker C.J. Cavness, wide receiver Chris Gilbert, defensive end/linebacker Tyrell Graham, quarterback Blake Joseph, wide receiver Tim Monroe, tight end Fendi Onobun, wide receiver Chaz Rodriguez, linebacker Nick Thurston and punter Chase Turner.
Pro day includes drills on the turf (shuttle run, 40-yard dash, etc.), as well as vertical and horizontal jumping and the bench press.
On the field the Cougars continue their spring workouts with a practice today, Tuesday and Thursday, taking a break for the Easter weekend.
