Softball Hits the Road for the LSU Tiger Invitational

* Due to weather concerns, Friday's games have been moved up. Houston will play Jacksonville State at noon and LSU at 6 p.m.
HOUSTON - After hosting two consecutive tournaments, the University of Houston softball team hits the road for the LSU Tiger Invitational on Feb. 26-28 in Baton Rouge.
Houston (4-6) is slated to take on Jacksonville State (2-7) at 2:30 p.m. and No. 16 LSU (7-4) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday before squaring off against Southern (0-6) at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will either play at 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. that day depending on their tournament seed. On Sunday, the consolation game is set to begin at 10 a.m. with the championship game following at 12:30 p.m.
This will be a tournament of firsts for the Cougars as they enter the weekend unfamiliar with the Jacksonville State and Southern programs. Preparing for its sixth meeting with LSU, Houston looks to improve on its 1-4 all-time series record.

A Look Ahead
The Cougars take on No. 24 Texas A&M in College Station on March 3 at 6:30 p.m. Houston then returns home for the Fourth Annual Striking Out Breast Cancer Game on March 10 at 5 p.m. when the team faces off against Southern for the second time in two weeks.
The Cougars will wear pink jerseys and helmets, which can be bid on along with other gifts in the silent auction that takes place prior to and during the games. Season Tickets
Season tickets are now on sale. A softball package is only $75 and is good for all 18 home games. The tickets also are part of a flexible ticket package that is good for any game. With the flexible ticket package, fans are given the opportunity to either use one ticket for each home game or multiple tickets to a few games.
