The University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in conjunction with UH Parking and Transportation, has announced that the parking lots surrounding Robertson Stadium will be open for Gameday and Cougar Pride permit parking only beginning at 7 a.m., Friday.
To properly prepare for the Cougars' Friday night game vs. UCF, televised nationally on ESPN2, faculty and staff wishing to park on campus on Sept. 10 will have different parking guidelines and procedures.
Securing lots surrounding Robertson Stadium will help Houston Athletics prepare for game day activities, including the Student Tailgate Village. The Student Tailgate Village is at capacity with 36 official student groups reserving a location. The plan allows these student groups to tailgate for Friday games.
Lots 12A, 12B, and 15F will be secured Thursday night at 11 p.m. No access will be granted without a proper Houston football gameday permit through Friday evening. Faculty and staff with gated Lot 15D parking permits will be allowed to park in their designated lot (15D) until 11 a.m. Friday. The entrance will be closed with no entry permitted after 11 a.m. Lots 16B, 16D and 16E will serve as cash parking beginning at 1 p.m. for a cost of $10.
An area in parking Lot 9B will be flagged off for faculty and staff with 15F and other 15D permits. UH Parking and Transportation services will provide three additional shuttle buses to serve this lot. Buses will run from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
