Soccer Heads to the West Coast This Weekend

HOUSTON - The University of Houston soccer team returns to action this weekend in southern California against West Coast Conference members Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. This will be Houston's first meeting with the two programs.
The Cougars will square off against the Pepperdine Waves (1-2-0) at 1 p.m. PT on Friday at Tari Frahm Rokus Field in Malibu. The Waves return six starters from a squad that finished 9-9-2 (6-4-1 at home) last year. Live stats will be available through Pepperdine's soccer schedule page at pepperdinesports.com.
Houston will then make a short trek south to face the Loyola Marymount Lions (2-1-0) at Sullivan Field at 1 p.m. PT in Los Angeles. The Lions return eight starters from a team that finished 10-6-3 (6-1-2 at home) last year. Live audio and stats will be available at Loyola Marymount's soccer schedule page at lmulions.com.
Following the road trip, the Cougars will return to Robertson Stadium for a two-game homestand the next weekend to face Texas State on Friday Sept 11 at 7 p.m. CT and McNeese State on Sunday Sept 13 at 1 p.m. CT.
