Spring Football Culminates With Saturday's Red-White Game

HOUSTON, Texas - University of Houston head football coach Kevin Sumlin sees his second spring practice come to end on Saturday, April 18, when the Cougars take part in the annual Red-White Game on John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium. Kickoff for the scrimmage is set for noon.
For the first time in school history, the spring game will be broadcast on the radio, as 790 The Sports Animal---Houston's flagship station---will carry the action beginning at 11:30 am and running through 1:30 pm. The Voice of the Cougars Tom Franklin will call the action in the booth along with David Klingler. Both Chuck Brown and Ted Pardee will work the sidelines.
Also, the entire 2009 football team along with coaches and staff will stick around after the game to sign autographs in the concourse on the East Side of Robertson Stadium. Fans are asked to sit on the West Side during the game, and concessions stands on this side will be open throughout the scrimmage.
The Cougars also welcome back several former players to the scrimmage, including Donald Boudreaux, Lonnie Holland, Jim Kuehne, Bryon Beaver, Gerald Deen, Brent Barron, W.R. "Pete" Nikirk, Ron Yokubaitis, Horst Paul, Royce Berry, John Peacock, Mike Johnston, Randy Peacock, David Bourquin, Deryl McGallion, Kenny Baugh, Glenn Riske, Bill Jones, Marty Watts, Robert Giblin, Max Vater, Miller Bassler, Donnie McGraw, Roger Mayes, Bobby McGallion, Joe Rust, Vincent "Bumpy" Greenwood, Kevan Brewster, Chuck Brown, Brent Chinn, Terald Clark, Elton Cummings, Jr., James Holmes, Bryant Winn, Gary McGuire, Orsby Crenshaw, Craig Alexander, Ty Davis, Lorenzo Dickson, Alfred Young, Larkay James, David Kaiser, Levi Gaston, James Hong, Wade Koehl and Willie Gaston.
